Business exterior | Improving your business curb appeal

What your potential customer sees when approaching your business sticks with them forever, and you have no second chance to change this. That's why your business exterior needs to be at its best. Strive to cultivate an inviting look and give your customers an aura of a successful business. This is particularly important for industries such as restaurants and retail stores that totally depend on how enticing the business looks. Walk into your business as though you're a customer. What do you see? Are you overwhelmed? If not, here are tips to give you the extra edge.

Think custom fabricated fences

Start with your borders. Does the potential customer know they're in the right place? Fences can play a particularly huge role at inviting the customers in, and this goes way beyond the signage. Custom steel fabricated fences are becoming increasing popular, and it's not so hard to figure out why. Whether it's that ornamental fence for your antique store, or the chain link fence for your pre-school, a bit of custom fabrication could go a long way in boosting its charms. You don't even have to tear down the fence, you could simply have your business logo fabricated onto it. Having any kind of pattern placed on your fence is both a blessing and a curse. Here's where you need to let your creativity lead, but you also need to remain within bounds. Don't go overboard. A modern steel pattern on a traditional cottage building won't really do you any good. You may need a professional to assist you in using the latest techniques to match your architectural style.

Revamp your building entrance

Your building exterior is probably second in place to hit the eyes of your potential customer. Try and be unique while still maintaining a matching look with your environs. If you've got a steel building such as a warehouse, then you may want to have faux stone accents installed on strategic areas of the building to improve the visual look of the metal sidings. A working way to enhance the wow factor of any kind of commercial building is having a glass canopy right at the entrance to replace the fabric sun canopies. Not only will the canopy boost your style, but it'll also create a welcoming entryway that lures the potential customers to your business. Also focus on the doors and windows. The aim here is to have a matching contrast that provokes the eye enough to appreciate it. A professional could come in handy.

Landscaping

Ever walked into a compound and just couldn't resist the urge of taking a picture? That's the kind of reaction you need from your customers, and this starts right from the parking lot. Seal coat the lot to prevent any cracks from forming and paint new lines to provide a welcoming feel. Have new concrete work done on your sidewalks if the concrete is getting old and try incorporate some greenery in your compound. Nothing brings that  natural, calming look that well-kept flowering plants.
